BUBBLES FROM SIRDAB: Give Peace a Dance

Optical Trip

Our World is one bloody Illusion, Life is an optical Confusion, whereas Society is one hell of a delusion.
In the meantime, here are some mind games that combine all three attributions, but are all just plane optical Illusion...
ENJOY the simple complexity of the mind... scary illusion, but do you see any elegant women in there?
Beautiful scene. But there is something more to it
Escher - monkey me
Reversible figure and ground
Try to arrange dices like this Reversible figure and ground
See the face of a soldier and a man that is bending over on the below eye illusion
And some bits of info, so you don't log out with more discombobulation from my bubble to yours. It is said, there are three main types of illusion
  1. literal optical illusions that create images that are different from the objects that make them;
  2. physiological illusions that are the effects on the eyes and brain of excessive stimulation of a specific type - brightness, tilt, color, movement;
  3. cognitive illusions where the eye and brain make unconscious inferences.

Don't B Snoopy, Nosy & Gossipy

These three graphic visuals are designed by Helen Bacsom's of Red Bubble--who got inspired by a Japanese proverb, one of the wisest proverb ever---possibly,'The' wisest.
"See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil"
Bacsom elaborated on this pictorial maxim of the 17th century, adding as wise stances.
As a result, one perfect fit for Bacsom's bubbly design expression.

SuperDeath

Loved these visuals!
Have been picked from Toyash's Flickr account, where loads of the cyber dude's creative design expressions are featured.
Speaking about DEATH, here is some interesting points worth being shared:

We're all going to die. But here are some things you might be interested to know!

  1. The practice of burying the dead may date back 350,000 years...
  2. Never say die: There are at least 200 euphemisms for death, including "to be in Abraham's bosom," "just add maggots," and "sleep with the Tribbles" (a Star Trek favorite).
  3. No American has died of old age since 1951. That was the year the government eliminated that classification on death certificates.
  4. The trigger of death, in all cases, is lack of oxygen. Its decline may prompt muscle spasms, or the "agonal phase," from the Greek word 'agon', or contest. Within three days of death, the enzymes that once digested your dinner begin to eat you.
  5. In 1907, a Massachusetts doctor conducted an experiment with a specially designed deathbed and reported that the human body lost 21 grams upon dying. This has been widely held as fact ever since. It's not.
  6. In 19th-century Europe there was so much anecdotal evidence that living people were mistakenly declared dead that cadavers were laid out in "hospitals for the dead" while attendants awaited signs of putrefaction.
  7. It is estimated that 100 billion people have died since humans began.

Nothing digital in here, rather two collages remixed by Sugar Pop A.k.a Gaya [aka ME]; published by Artlounge Gallery in Beirut, only 5 visuals of each, were printed and sold. The originals, of all the 'colgirl' stuff -- work she labeled as ''cut n' stick'-re-played-re-scratched stories''-- remain at Artlounge's closet, waiting 'The TIK Time' when all Gaya's collage will be unveiled in her bubbly playground..

OH What a rat race!

Graffiti by Banksy that turns out to be so explicit of my thoughts about 'Others'; the rat race is so brillantly written and sang by King Bob, it says it all!!
Uh! Ya too rude! Uh! Eh! OH What a rat race! Oh, what a rat race! Oh, what a rat race! Oh, what a rat race! This is the rat race! Rat race! (Rat race!) Some a lawful, some a bastard, some a jacket: Oh, what a rat race, yeah! Rat race! Some a gorgon-a, some a hooligan-a, some a guine-gog-a In this 'ere rat race, yeah! Rat race! I'm singin' that When the cat's away, The mice will play. Political violence fill ya city, ye-ah! Don't involve Rasta in your say say; Rasta don't work for no C.I.A. Rat race, rat race, rat race! Rat race, I'm sayin': When you think is peace and safety: A sudden destruction. Collective security for surety, ye-ah! Don't forget your history; Know your destiny: In the abundance of water, The fool is thirsty. Rat race, rat race, rat race! Rat race! Oh, it's a disgrace To see the human-race In a rat race, rat race! You got the horse race; You got the dog race; You got the human-race; But this is a rat race, rat race!

KOOL

An article in the L.A Times reads: "The interface between the two: culture-jamming, where advertising billboards are altered with subversive messages, focusing particularly on the art of Ron English, who is responsible for such works as a toe-tagged cadaver with the legend “Forever Kool” (Kool is a North American brand of cigarettes) and “Camel Kids”, featuring child versions of Joe Camel, the Camel cigarette mascot." The IPKat says: “This is an area of IP law where there are no easy answers. On the one hand, if advertising is legally protected from all by third parties, it constitutes a ubiquitous one-way conversation between the advertiser and the public. On the other hand, courts generally feel unhappy about artists riding roughshod over other peoples’ property rights in the interests of free speech.” Click I Read for more

Propaganda-fed citizens

I just can't get enough of ads' parody, subverted logos, and graphic manipulations of super brands . Maybe it's a way to remind myself that the world is twisting too fast...And then, let such a thought trigger the usual... An existential anxiety that would go on to precipitate my mind in all directions, and have my neurones -- or what is left of them-- roll and refresh... Another reason, could also be to reassure myself that I agree with the likes of Adbusters and Kasle Lasne and I should stop thinking and agreeing, rather acting and engaging myself in what every cause I believe in... That post has already diminished my guilt trip since posting these images and letting the blog roll is already one adbusting action. Provided the messages get to someone through this post; and naturally, someone somewhere would start thinking that he, too, should start acting Adbusters mode. Enjoy this delicious propaganda-fed citizens; it is good stuff and definitely refreshing parody for every brain.
