1. literal optical illusions that create images that are different from the objects that make them;
2. physiological illusions that are the effects on the eyes and brain of excessive stimulation of a specific type - brightness, tilt, color, movement;
3. cognitive illusions where the eye and brain make unconscious inferences.

Hold on to Infinity

Incredible, trippy, intriguing and inspiring photographic art by Toasted Ghost member of Red Bubble art community. Well worth taking a long look at all his bubbly contribution. The photo uses the 'Droste Effect' a technique pioneered by Escher. It's a technique in which an image contains a smaller copy of itself, the sequence appearing to recur infinitely. It's also known as "mise en abyme " and means, "placing into infinity" or "placing into the abyss."

The Dutch Droste company's famous cocoa packaging is at the origin of the name "Droste effect". The nurse on the package carries a plate with a package, on which there is the same package, etc, etc.. Charming e-burka

THIS IS ONE PUZZLING CRAZY FUNNY INVENTION

Markus Kison’s ‘Charming Burka’ was showcased at Seamless, a fashion event, featuring innovative and experimental works, interactive clothing, and technology-based fashion organised by MIT Media Lab graduate students.

‘Charming Burka’ is a digitally-enabled covering that gives the wearer the option of electronically displaying the face they are being made to hide. A controversial product, though not explicitly forbidden by Islamic law, the burka apparently deals with Freud’s idea that all clothes can be positioned between appeal and shame.

The German designer describes the concept behind his project:

"The Burka was chosen because it is often perceived in the west as a symbol of repression. Then a digital layer was added to it so that women can decide for themselves where they want to position themselves virtually. The Burka sends an image, chosen by the wearer, via bluetooth. Every person next to her can receive her picture via mobile phone and see the woman’s self-determined identity. The laws of the Koran are not broken, so the Charming Burka fulfills the desire of living a more western life, which some Muslim women desire today. The Burka is equipped with bluetooth antenna/micro-controller and uses the OBEX protocol, already working with most mobile phones."

More than 1000 visitors attended the show in the Boston Museum of Science. Model Meiver De la Cruz presented the 'CharmingBurka' on the catwalk, while the audience could receive the portrait of the model on their mobile phones. After the catwalk visitors came around to discuss the idea or pick up the picture, if they weren't able to do it before.

According to The Sun: while incarcerated at London’s Pentonville Prison,

" Blake has traded autographed pictures of his spouse to fellow inmates who hope to sell them on eBay. He receives a “joey” - British slang for a hit of heroin- for the flicks."

Donno what to think of that one, but all I can say... Am absolutely puzzled!! Black on Black!!!

Oh Lord---See that stack of cash, well, a Mexican drug Lord got busted recently; and here is what the police raid dug up from the mansion of the well,,, quite successful dealer; $205 million dollars in cash is no little money indeed; police also found a bunch of drugs and guns... Poor guy! where will all this big bucks go? That's all am wondering this late night...Puzzled I AM2!
